Carl Ellan Kelley (born December 26, 1942) was an American writer and editor. He was a professor of English at the University of Arkansas, where he taught creative writing and literature. Kelley’s mother died when he was five years old. , and his father died four years later.Carl Ellan Kelley was born in 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the then-high school teacher Carl Franklin Kelley and Edna Christine (Ellen) Ross.
