There have been numerous anime adaptations of manga that have gained incredible popularity in a short period of time. “Demon Lord Retry,” also known as “Maō-Sama, Ritorai,” is a well-known anime television series based on a manga and light novel of the same name, illustrated by Kōji Ogata and Amaru Minotake.
The story revolves around Akira Ono, the creator of the MMORPG Infinity Game. As he shuts down the game, he finds himself transported into the body of the game’s protagonist character, Demon Lord Hakuto Kunai. As Hakuto Kunai, he becomes a target for many, particularly the Satanist cult, due to his association with the Kingdom of Holy Light. “Maou Sama Retry” is a popular anime television series based on a light novel of the same name. It falls under the genres of fantasy and isekai. The light novel series, written by Kurone Kanzaki and published by Shōsetsuka ni Narō, has been running successfully since 2016. The light novel was illustrated by Kōji Ogata (1st edition) and Makoto Iino (2nd edition) and published by Futabasha. It was also licensed by J-Novel Club.
The manga adaptation, also written by Kurone Kanzaki and illustrated by Amaru Minotake, has been published by Futabasha, with English publisher J-Novel Club and imprint Monster Comics. The manga has been serialized in Web Comic Action since October 2017 and has had 5 volumes released.
The anime television series adaptation was directed by Hiroshi Kimura and written by Ōka Tanisaki, with music by Satoshi Hōno. The series was produced by Ekachi Epilka and licensed by Madman Entertainment and Funimation. It originally aired on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji from July 4, 2019, to September 19, 2019, spanning 12 episodes.
Plot:
The show follows Akira Ono, who inadvertently finds himself transported into the game world of the MMORPG Infinity Game as the protagonist character after shutting down the game. As Demon Lord Hakuto Kunai, he must navigate the game world and confront his opponents who target him.
